Development status and Prospect Analysis of domestic diesel pour point depressants

Wax in diesel oil will gradually precipitate at low temperature, and combine with each other to form a three-dimensional network structure, which will adsorb and encapsulate other components such as low pour point colloid, oil and water to form paste, thus making diesel lose its fluidity. The addition of low temperature flow improver (also known as pour point depressant) can significantly improve the low temperature fluidity of diesel oil and make its solidification point and cold filter point meet the specifications. It is a simple and effective method to improve the flexibility and economic benefits of refinery production.

1. Overseas

The earliest research on diesel pour point depressants began in the 1930s. Davis found that chlorinated paraffin and naphthalene condensates were effective pour point depressants, followed by chlorinated paraffin and phenol condensates, polymethyl methacrylate and so on. Polyacrylamide and alkyl polystyrene pour point depressants were developed in the 1940s, maleate-long chain alkyl methacrylate copolymer was developed in the 1950s, and EVA pour point depressant (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) Baraden was produced in Esso Company in the 1960s. For more information on oil products, please pay attention to Wechat's public number oil product circle. In the 1970s, the world's crude oil prices rose, and the low-temperature performance of diesel oil was reduced by adding petroleum recombinants to diesel oil in refineries. As a result, the research of diesel pour point depressants developed rapidly. The combination of various polymers and the synthesis of derivatives became the research focus. So far, the development of pour point depressant products abroad has been serialized, diversified, and has obvious pertinence, and the production process has been quite mature and perfect.

2. Domestic

Since 1960s, the research of pour point depressant in China has been started. In 1970s, Lanzhou Refinery developed poly-alpha-olefin pour point depressant (code T803), and in 1986, Beijing Organic Chemical Plant had a capacity of 700 tons of EVA pour point depressant (T-1804). In 1987, Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Complex invested in the continuous production of 1000 tons of low temperature pour point depressant for diesel oil. Device. At present, there are few kinds of low-temperature flow improvers for diesel oil in China, most of which are ethylene, EVA and its modifiers, acrylates and maleic anhydride copolymers, etc. The main types of low-temperature flow improvers are imitation.
